Dr. Brooks, co-founder and director of Urgent Care Barbados, graduated from the University of the West Indies Medical school in 2004. She started work in the Accident and Emergency department Queen Elizabeth Hospital following completion of her internship in 2005. She progressed through the ranks of junior doctor to Senior Registrar over the following 10 years. Dr Brooks completed her Doctorate of Emergency Medicine in 2015.
Not only is she certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Advanced Trauma life support and Pediatric Acute life support, she is an instructor in Mass Casualty Management.
Having left the Emergency department in 2015 she is currently employed at Sandy Crest Medical Centre, Coverly Medical Centre and Elcourt Clinic, all of which focus primarily on delivering urgent medical attention. Dr. Brooks has a special interest in trauma management and clinical administration.
